The Learning Support Department also helps non-native speakers improve their proficiency in English (EAL) and is able to offer both in-class support and tuition in small withdrawal groups.
This is a significant part of Learning Support’s role, as it is extremely important that all students’ English ability is of a sufficient standard to cope with the demands of the school’s curriculum.

Finally, Learning Support is able to also help students considered to be ‘gifted and talented’. We have a school policy document written especially for these students and are able to motivate the students and stimulate them with work that is sufficiently interesting and challenging.
