Strothoff International School’s Employment Opportunities

Strothoff International School is always seeking qualified substitute teachers in the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main region to be available to support our Primary and Secondary School academic programs when teachers are ill or pursuing professional development. The following positions are available from August 2012

PRIMARY SCHOOL OPENINGS:
EARLY YEARS (age 3 -5) AND PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (age 6 – 11)
DEUTSCHLEHRER (MUTTERSPRACHE) / GERMAN AS A MOTHER TONGUE TEACHER
   To be considered, requirements are:
    - Native German speaker
    - English language knowledge

TEACHING ASSISTANTS
   To be considered, requirements are:
    - English language knowledge
    - Proof of training or experience in a school or age group relevant field

To be considered for any of the above primary or secondary school positions, teacher requirements are (unless stated otherwise):
- Native English speaker with excellent written and spoken English
- University degree in the relevant field
- Internationally recognized teaching qualification (i.e.P.G.C.E.)
- Minimum two years teaching experience in the relevant IBO PYP, MYP or DP courses
- Previous experience teaching at an international school abroad

Preference will be given to teachers who also have:
- IBO workshop(s) / training
- Further tertiary education - Masters, Doctorate
- Certification in TOEFL, CELTA, TOESL, etc.
- German language knowledge and/or previous experience teaching in Germany
- Ability to use ICT  for classroom and for administrative purposes, including interactive whiteboards
- Extra-curricular interests: able to coach a sport and lead an activity

We offer a highly attractive remuneration package initially based on a 2 years contract.
