We had an amazing Book week in kindergarten and in PYP with a lot of activities around books. It was so nice that parents came to read in many languages like German, English, Czech, Slovak, Spanish and Portuguese, made a finger puppet theatre in the kindergarten, and provided a great buffet. Big thank you to our PYP teachers to make stories and reading fun and to parents who provided a delicious international buffet.
It was such a successful community event. Thank you to everybody who took the time to participate!
We had a great Halloween party in Kindergarten and PYP with happy children. A big thank you to all parents who supported us by sponsoring decorations and contributing a lot of spooky food and drinks. It was the biggest buffet we've ever had!
Special thanks go to the parents and their commitment who prepared the Halloween games and carried them out with the children. Our children and we parents had a lot of fun together!
Teachers are so important in educating and shaping our children, and they truly impact their lives. That is why we feel it is important to show our gratitude and appreciation to teachers. It is a beautiful tradition at our school to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.
This year, the PTO partnered with the Student Council to organize the Teacher Appreciation Week from June 7-10, 2021. This time we wanted to do something extra special to show our teachers how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication. Therefore, this year several parents and students of our school community were involved in the actions.
As in previous years, throughout the week students brought cards, pictures, flowers or small sweets as a thank you. On Monday morning we were able to surprise the teachers with a short video:
On Tuesday morning, the students set up a personal Padlet for each teacher with many thankful and personal words.
The PYP and Kindergarten teachers were presented with flowers and small personalized tokens by their students.
On Thursday morning, the PTO hosted a special surprise for the staff and teachers to wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week. We also wanted to give something to the teachers that would be in line with the sustainability aspect and thus the school concept. Thanks to all the students and parents who dropped off homemade strawberry jam for this! It was a lot of fun and brought our community even closer together.
“When I read these messages, I had tears rolling down my face. Thank you so much for your kind words! You all make me want to be a better teacher, and you have certainly made me feel appreciated! Please continue to be the amazing young people you are! You are our proud future!” - Jameela Seibert
“Thank you for that thoughtful gesture :-) This is one of the kindest and most heart -warming bundle of appreciation I’ve ever received! Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this.” - Shruthi Binish
“Thank you very much for your encouraging words today. I really appreciate it and would like to stress that the successful work for our school requires many hearts and souls with a strong team spirit. So I am very happy to have the opportunity to work together with you, our very engaged PTO members!” – Michael Höfig
Thank you to our wonderful teachers!
In the past, the PTO organized regular bonding events like coffee mornings or wine and cheese evenings. This is not possible at the moment. We try to see social distancing as an opportunity to reach you through virtual events.
The 1st Happy Hour was a success so we already planned 3 more this school year.
Here are the dates for the next happy hours. Please save the dates. We plan to have this event once a month to meet in a re
We want to hear your stories from these past weeks. If you’d like, you’ll be able to share your own experiences, highlights (or lowlights) and ask any questions on your mind. Though there’s no pressure to speak up, as you can just listen and watch if that better fits your style.
Therefore, grab your favourite beverage and hop on Zoom to connect with some familiar faces, and meet a few new ones from our school community!
We have an amazing idea for the upcoming Bookweek from March 29th to April 1st! We create a Book Club for our adult school community.
If books are your passion, then join us for our virtual Book Club meeting on April 1st at 7pm.
Just let’s have a lively conversation about books. What did you read last? Which book was life-changing for you? What books would you like to read, but don't have time? Or are you looking for inspiration?
We would like to know how many of you would like to attend the event and ask you to participate in the survey or write to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your answer will help us to organize the book club in the best possible way.
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has set itself the goal of promoting the community spirit in our school especially in these challenging times. Unfortunately, coming together is only possible virtually at the moment, but still we should take this opportunity to speak to each other and exchange ideas.
For the art and wine lovers among us, together with the Atelier Rocío Plúas we have created a format that we would like to present for the first time on December 12th at 19:00h.
Under the motto Three colors, four countries we will virtually meet at the atelier Rocío Plúas for a so-called Maridaje, which is a fusion of two sensory elements, in our case we are talking about art and the culture of wine. The language used to describe a wine is often similar to the one describing works of art. We will look into this in more detail on 12th December…
As unfortunately we cannot meet in person at the moment, we will instead get together on Zoom.
How it works
