The Welcome Committee
The Welcome Committee is a working group of the PTO and consists of parents from the kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and alumni.
The Welcome Committee aims to welcome all families who are new to our community. Where possible, new families are contacted before they arrive and support is offered. Answering questions about the school and life in Dreieich and the surrounding area and introducing them to other families plays a major role for us.
The Welcome Committee organises or supports community events planned to welcome new families and students (e.g. Welcome Days, Open Days, PTO Coffee Mornings, PTO Happy Hours). Information about current events can be found on the school's social media accounts.
The Welcome Committee is always looking for parents who would like to volunteer to help plan and organize events or mentor new families. A mentor can be someone who speaks the language of the newcomers and can introduce them to other (foreign) families with the same cultural background.
A special project of the Welcome Committee is the Welcome Book. From the beginning, a large group of parents have been involved in it and have gathered a lot of knowledge from our community about the school and school life. Enjoy reading it!
