You are here: Kindergarten
At Strothoff International School, children will be taught in German and English simultaneously, empowering them to switch between languages naturally. Through the school’s inquiry-based International Baccalaureate curriculum, purposeful play and an environment rich in learning, every child is equipped with 21st-century skills.
Young children are natural inquirers; they ask questions, explore, gather information, make predictions and come to conclusions in their play and social interactions all day long. It is the natural process of finding out about the world around them.
In the Kindergarten learning activities and play, experiences are structured to ensure inquiry and learning can take place through purposeful play. Educators pose questions and problems and arrange experiences to challenge the children in their thinking, theorizing and decision-making. We emphasize increasing levels of self-awareness, social development, physical skills, independence, self-help skills and responsibility. Children learn to communicate and negotiate with other children and adults.
